About the Item
Gorgeous vintage modern mod op art or pop art mirror style # 1034 tag on reverse from Greg Copeland studio. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. We have cleaned all pieces & reassembled. The white horizontal line pattern on the left-hand inside back mirror close to frame has been repaired. You can see it in some lights and from some angles but not always. Personally, it does not detract from its beauty. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1973.
You know when you see a piece of artwork and it seems to grab your eyes and just hold on? The colors, the details, the elements, and the character of the piece pulls you in and you simply MUST stare? Well, THIS is one of those pieces! It’s a STUNNING mod, pop art, or op art mirror from Greg Copeland studio, 1978. It is comprised of a screen-printed square mirror designed with abstract circles, half circles, crescent moons, straight lines, and curved lines all perfectly intertwined in the center of a thin yellow circle surrounded by a wider large burnt orange circle which is painted on the front glass, so it gives the piece a three-dimensional vibe. The half circles and thin lines create a reflective center X and allow the mirror to show through illuminating depth and brilliant elements. The mirror is housed in a gorgeous chrome box frame that is about 1 7/8 inch deep. It’s BEAUTIFUL!! The ideal artistic blend of colors, lines, and reflective qualities and it’s just what you need to add a little mod or pop art flair to any room. It would be wonderful in a stairway or on a large wall in your living room, bedroom, or dining area.
Artist Greg Copeland was born in New Jersey and in the 60's opened his first artist studio in New Dutch Lane Fairfield, and by the 80's had another studio in Courtland Street Patterson, NJ and then eventually becoming Greg Copeland INC. Although he produced a lot of his own work, he also allowed other artists to create original work, sign their names and affix the Greg Copeland label on the back and one of those artists was Milo Baughman himself. Greg Copeland is largely known for his 3-dimensional intricate framed artworks and screen-printed abstract mirror pieces.
We absolutely LOVE this vintage mod op art mirror by Greg Copeland, surely you do to. What are you waiting for? Make it yours!!

- Modern Geometric Mixed Metal Dimensional Wall Sculptures by C Jere Series of 4By C. Jeré Artisan HouseLocated in Topeka, KSGorgeous modern series of four geometrical dimensional mixed metal wall sculptures by C. Jere, unsigned but easily documented online. Comprised of steel, brass, and copper. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are scratches on all 4 sculptures, a ding on one, and we have replaced 2 triangular bent metal pieces. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, late 20th – early 21st century. Oh yeah… it’s hip to be square!! And in this case, that is definitely true!! This is an awesome series of four-square dimensional mixed metal wall sculptures by C. Jere displaying various unique and abstract geometric designs comprised of steel, brass, and copper arranged in the center of each metal square. C. Jere (a.k.a.) Curtis Jere is not a single artist but is a nom-de-plume for a group of artists working for Artisan House and well known for their phenomenal jewelry, metal sculptures, and collectibles. This series of four is a MUST have for any wall that needs a bold statement piece, touch of Modern style, or simply an intriguing, phenomenal piece of artwork! Position them to your preference and change any wall from being bland, to BOOM! They would be wonderful side by side in a row of four however, I envision them stacked one on top of the other in a large square. Maybe over a fireplace, on a wall in a tall entry way, or on a primary wall in your living room. If you’ve been looking for the right touch of Modern or Industrial edge to welcome into your home… you just found it! Artisan House artists included founders Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels and Curtis Jere is a combination of their names. Before founding Artisan House these two friends and brothers-in-law had built a costume jewelry business which sold under the names of Renoir and Matisse, two well-known names of mid-20th century costume jewelry. During the mid-20th century, the C. Jere sculptures, and metal work were distributed by Raymor, a well-known name in mid century collectibles, and sold at Gump’s in San Francisco and other upscale retail establishments. Jerry Fels died 11...Category
