A very fine and charming red chalk drawing of studies of sheep by Jan van Ravenswaay (1789-1869). Signed and date 1823 lower right.
Red chalk.
Mounted and framed.
Jan van Ravenswaay was a 19th century landscape painter from the Northern Netherlands. He studied drawing with Jordanus Hoorn and Pieter Gerardus van Os before becoming a member of the Royal Academy of Art in Amsterdam.
