A rare pair of original hand cut silhouettes by the Hungarian-American deco sculpture Wilhelm Hunt Diederich, circa 1925. In period frames (unexamined out of frames), titles annotated in pencil on the circular cut mattes- "The Mad Russian" and "Death in the Afternoon". The black paper silhouettes themselves measure approx. 8" diameter. Framed: 16 3/4" x 12 3/4" each. Unsigned. Selling the pair as one lot.
