About the Item
An impressive abstract modern large scale painting by American artist Vera Simons.
Layers of fine canvas with earth tone colors are collaged onto the main canvas, giving an amazing textural effect. The collaged pieces are painted over in metallic silver and then repeatedly washed with layers of warm ocher, cool bluish browns and finally deep, rich sienna.
Great vintage condition, wear to edges and corners natural to its age, marks on the back of the canvas.
