Pair of 18th Century Johann Wilhelm Weinmann Botanical Illustrations

About the Item

These two precious botanical illustrations were created circa 1720 by the botanist and apothecary Johann Wilhelm Weinmann (1682-1741). They are hand-colored mezzotints. One depicts tulips while the other depicts lilies. They are framed in maple veneer frames. Frame dimensions: Smaller - 23 in. height x 17.25 in. width x .75 in. thickness Larger - 23.5 height x 19.75 in. width x .75 in. thickness Condition notes: In good condition. Visible nicks and scratches to frames.
