About the Item
Vintage Charles Johnson Payne Hunting Print, The Stonefaced 'Narrer-back'.
A rare hand coloured Snaffles lithograph entitled The Stonefaced 'Narrer-back'. The image is of two huntsmen about to jump a turf-topped stone wall. Another huntsman can be seen already clear of the jump whilst one is mid way through the jump, with a coloured remarque in bottom left hand corner of a farmer on his horse. This Charles "Snaffles" Johnson Payne (1884 1967) picture is in very good original condition, in original oak frame, published by Fores, 41 Piccadilly , London, with paper 'Fores' label on reverse of the frame.
