Grand wall tapestry designed by Celestin Kabuya and manufactured by Gaspard de Wit for the Foncolin building in Brussels. The Foncolin building, a modernist piece of architecture, was built in the city center of Brussels to house a variety of insurance companies. Architect Jules Wabbes had the honor of furnishing the building. The large tapestry, depicting several fish and sea snakes surrounded by greenery, was manufactured at the Royal Manufacture of Tapestries De Wit. This company is specialized in the production and conservation of exquisite tapestries. The weaving is done by hand according to ancient techniques. The expertise and craftsmanship is clearly visible in the stunning tapestry. The design shows great dynamism when seen in real life, and the blue and orange colors pop from the dark background. A stunning piece that will be a focal point in every interior. Kindly note that this piece is in good, used condition.
