19th Century Italian Neoclassical Majolica Pair of Wall Brackets for Sconces

About the Item

Early 19th century Neoclassical carved and gilded wall brackets realized with a white ivory color majolica demi vase of the Italian manufacture Giustiniani from Neaples. This unique and elegant pair od Italian artworks can be used as wall lights too, see listed pictures with a demilune LAMPSHADE, USED FOR DISPLAY ONLY, not included in price. If requested, we could customize an offer. The ancient Italian maiolica is finally framed by an hand-carved and gold leaf gilded wooden demi-lune shaped structure ornated with a beading profile and ending in the lower part with a scrolling carving. The top has no gilding finish, but only a Siena yellow painting. This pair of antique carved and gilded wood and majolica shelves, handcrafted in the early 19th century, are in good condition, both giltwood structure and maiolica show signs of wear and use, minor gilding losses and old restorations, see detailed pictures. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago requires a governative license for export called Belle Arti. The shipping may require additional 2/3 handling weeks to require and get the license according to the final destination of the artwork.
