Large Architectural Bronze Door Handle and Wall Relief Sculpture

About the Item

Large midcentury sculptural bronze door or wall mounted abstract sculpture for in-or outdoors. It was originally mounted on the front door of a villa in Germany in the 1960s as an over sized door handle. This one-of-a-kind art piece defines abstract expressionism, with it's heavily textured surface and triangular-geometries typical of Brutalist aesthetic. The surface has a rich patina and texture. The piece is mounted by 4 points, two at the top and two at the bottom.
