Victorian Gold Twist Bracelet with Gold Locket
About the Item
A Victorian gold twist bracelet with gold locket, the bracelet designed as a twist with round rings set between each twist, suspending a gold heart shaped locket set to the centre a ruby, sapphire and diamond, with side opening to reveal two heart shape frames to insert two photographs, circa 1850, measuring approximately 20 x 1.5cm, gross weight 61.3grams.
A Victorian bracelet in very good condition. Unmarked tested as 15ct gold.
This eye-catching bracelet, c. 1850 was created in the popular Victorian style of heart-shaped locket bracelets. From the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, these bracelets were often given as gifts to symbolize everlasting love and the locket on this bracelet has the charming addition of a ruby, sapphire, and diamond. This weighty and substantial bracelet would make a luxurious yet simple addition to even the most casual of outfits.
