About the Item

We are delighted to offer this stunning antique Victorian 14K gold brooch. This brooch presents an impressive and endearing design with a crossed centre portion with 12 turquoise stones and a sparkling central diamond. Adjacent to the cross, 10 seeded pearls, beautifully taper in size to accent the blue turquoise with a wonderful white tone. The main brooch features a c-clasp on the rear with an additional safety chain to fasten it securely to your attire of choice. The Victorian design, geometric aesthetics and contrasting colour combination make for an incredibly stylish and eye-catching brooch. Turquoise is known to be the birthstone for December. A very special gift to a lucky individual or as an indulging gift to oneself. The brooch is unmarked and has been fully tested for 14K gold. Size Total Weight 40mm x 20mm 7.93g /0.255 oz t Condition: Good antique condition - the rear clasp has had old restoration where some solder is used to reinforce the clasp and hinge. Some slight discolouration on some of the turquoise stones. This cannot be seen from the front and only upon close inspection of the rear (last two photos). We aim to overemphasise and state these issues to avoid disappointment in person and thus please rest assured they are not significant and often look further impressive in person.
