A crown fit for a mermaid! The 1960's Hawaiian wedding crown constructed from a straw headband intricately embellished by braids of sea shells and faux ferns is a beautiful symbol of love and peace. Perfect for a bride though equally as wonderful with Summertime attire and sipping Mai Tais on the beach.
CONDITION
Good vintage condition with a couple of broken shells shown in photographs 9 and 10. They are hidden on the sides and do not detract from the appearance. The shells show some darkening in color from years of storage though overall make a great impression.
MEASUREMENTS
The crown measures 22.5" in circumference on the inside of the straw headband x approximately 3.5" deep on the exterior. The straw is flexible and the crown can easily be pulled down to the forehead as shown on the mannequin. It is worth noting that the crown is fairly heavy due to the weight of the shell construction which can be a benefit to keep it in place.
