Hermes Marine Et Cavalerie 2 Pluviose An III 1795 Silk Twill Scarf designed by Philippe Ledoux. First issued in 1968, this scarf has become a highly collectable print illustrated by beloved artist Philippe Ledoux. This is an earlier version as the, "Hermes Paris", has the copy-write mark illustrated. Napoleon's military might is on display with ships & cavlerie on horseback set in a wintry scene. Done on a red ground with a round gold rope encircling the center. There are gold swags at each corner made up of military swords, instruments & insignia. A beautiful scarf for anyone who loves the Napoleonic era. Pre-owned in very good condition, there are a couple of small light marks at the lower right front edge. Plump hems. Content tag. 90CM 35" x 35".
