About

Breathtaking museum-quality Laird Schober Couture ladies shoes dating back to the late 1910's. The company started producing very high-end footwear in 1872 and in 1900 won the grand prize at the Paris Exposition. The rising hemlines showcased the end of the Edwardian era; focusing attention on the exposed leg and foot. During this extravagant time, the demand for luxury shoes was met by an explosion of surface decoration and color. These shoes are fashioned from colorful embroidered rosettes with a base mocha silk-satin. I adore the velvet-bow appliques and beautifully curved heels. A rare piece of fashion history that will only increase in value.
