About

Treul on 15 rue de Castellane Paris was one of the elite couture houses operating during the art-deco era. This breathtaking garment, all hand-stitched, is fashioned in vibrant metallic-gold novelty feather-print lame and genuine monkey-fur. The art-deco pattern formed from sparkling lame thread is so opulent, I wouldn't be surprised if this evening coat was designed for a member of the royal family. The dramatic black monkey-fur collar with neck-tie is just as magnificent. Couture collectors are often drawn initially to the brilliance of vintage textiles. The mix of stunning fabrics, along with its complex construction, makes this a Parisian rarity.
