1970's SONIA RYKIEL tan lightweight trench coat with black corduroy trim & cape
About the Item
A 1970's trench by Sonia Rykiel in lightweight tan cotton with black corduroy trim at the collar and cuffs. It has a loose, slightly oversized cut with dropped shoulders and a wide, cape-like overlay across the upper body with ties under the arms. The waist is pulled in with a self-tie belt, creating a soft peplum effect over the hips.
The front is clean and minimal with a concealed placket, while the back falls straight with gentle volume. The contrast corduroy adds weight and structure at the edges and gives some definition.
No size is indicated however this would fit a size 2-6 depending on fit. For reference, the coat was photographed on a size 2 mannequin (mannequin measures 32" at bust, 24" at waist and 34" at hip) and the trench was not clipped.
Approximate measurements: drop shoulder 21", bust 40", adjustable belt at waist, hips 44", arm length 20" (cuffed) and overall length 48".
Pockets at hips.
Unlined.
