This incredible vintage Patrick Kelly quilted leopard print coat has silk lining and was made in France in the 1980's. The coat is open in the front with a single hook and eye closure at the neck, it has side slit pockets, and is made of a stretch fabric that is slightly puffy. This amazing piece is 40 inches long from the nape of the neck and is 54 inches in circumference at the bust. I love Patrick Kelly - if you don't know much about him, that's most likely because he died at the young age of 35. Kelly was originally from Alabama his designs were inspired by his female relatives and his southern roots. He moved to France in 1988, and in that same year, he became both the first United States citizen and the first person of color to be admitted as a member of the Chambre syndicale du prêt-à-porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode.
