Amazing vintage handmade caftan, caramel color crushed silk velvet heavily with gold rim threads. Circa 1960's The honey gold velvet kaftan is embroidered and embellished entirely by hand, super-luxe designer kaftan. One of a kind evening gown or evening coat handmade in Morocco. This authentic caftan has been hand-sewn from high end silk crushed velvet fabric trim embroidered with gold threads. The kaftan features a traditional neckline, with gently fluted embellished sleeves with slits at either side with thick gold braiding and embroidery which runs down the front with woven gold buttons and loops and arms. In Morocco, fashion preserves its traditional style inherited from great civilizations that found their way to Northwest Africa, such as the Ottomans and the Turks. Moroccan fashion has been recognized for its style and has garnered a reputation, winning awards in international fashion shows throughout Europe. Marrakech Bohemian, Yves Saint Laurent style. This luxury caftan is in perfect condition, dry cleaned and ready to wear. The caftan is perfect for a man or woman, will fit Medium to X Large size. The Kaftan is a long and wide tunic, collarless, long-sleeved, worn by man and women. The Moroccan kaftans inspired European and global designers as Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, and many more who made the caftan famous in the 1960s and 1970s. Hand made in Morocco.
