About

This opera coat is truly a work of art and was designed by the highly sought after Scottish fashion designer Bill Gibb (1943-1988) in the 1970s. The coat is in a ivory cotton and has a high standing collar, mother of pearl round shell buttons, empire line pleats, exaggerated long cuffs and 2 hidden front pockets. Gibb was certainly a true artist and his extraordinary creations were amongst the nearest a British designer got to haute couture, his designs are rare and are found in museums around the world.
