This is a rare vintage early 1990s Catherine Bacon Vintage Evening coat in black velvet with beautiful contrasting topstitching on white mohair/wool and black at the collar and cuffs that is decorated with sequins. The coat ties at the side and has quilted velvet through the waist area. This sensational coat is labeled a size 2 but that sizing means that it is a size Medium/Large or a modern day US size 10/12.
Catherine Bacon textiles are all unique and her pieces have been in Obiko, Neiman Markus, Takashimaya and Bergdorf Goodman. We love the way she mixes mediums and the beautiful way her designs fit! This coat is an exceptional example of her work!
