1920s Shisha (mirror embroidery) embroidered flapper style coat India...Beautifully embroidered coat done on a cotton damask fabric in a pomegranate colour...Embroidered medallions are scattered throughout the coat and are done in a fine buttonhole stitch each set with glittering mirrors...The coat has no closures at the front in true flapper style, there are deep heavily decorated turn back cuffs...The neck of the coat can be turned back or worn as pictured, showing the elaborate embroidery...There is a seam (horizontal tuck) at the low waist for style purposes...The coat is fully lined in soft moleskin fabric in the same colourway as the outside...In very good condition for it's age, it is wearable...There are some dark marks at the side of the coat below the arm about mid torso and because of their location, they not easily seen...There are two holes tiny (about the size of the flat end of a pin) in the lining, one on the collar and the other not seen...Fits a size small the sleeves are narrow at the forearms & upper arms... In very good antique wearable condition...
