About

Pierre Balmain opened his own couture house in 1945. It was in a series of collections named 'Jolie Madame' that he experienced his greatest success from 1952 onward. Along with his haute couture, the talented businessman pioneered a ready-to-wear range called "Florilege". This is a beautiful example of his vision to bring high-fashion modern design to the masses. I love the vibrant orange and yellow scalloped op-art printed silk. The sleeveless shift design with minimal construction is lightweight and effortless to wear.
