About

Ultra seductive blue toucan-bird novelty print dress ensemble by the famous Stephen Burrows. Melding his training in classic technique with his own adventurous vision, he is best known for his "unserious" jersey designs. He is the first African American fashion designer to achieve international acclaim and was one of the five American designers to show their clothes along with the French couturiers at Versailles in 1973. Our iconic easy-to-wear dress set is a perfect example of his genius. The bodice is an alluring backless criss-cross halter with built-in sash tie. I love his unique signature topstitching which emphasizes the garment's construction rather than hide it. The matching figure flattering nipped waist skirt flows beautifully with movement. This is the type of garment you will reach for anytime you want to feel fabulous!
