1920's Pink-Camellias Floral Print Chiffon Wrap Dress & Matching Flapper Coat

The breathtaking baby-pink and green camellias-garden print used in this late 1920's silk-chiffon dress has a fresh innocence that I find irresistible. The bodice is a low-cut plunge trimmed with France chantilly-lace that falls into a flattering wrap drop-waist. I love the pleated hem-flounce. The piece work to create this skirting in particular is extraordinary; it skims the body and then flares out near the bottom. The stylized charm of the scarf-neck black plisse-chiffon coat personify the feminine ideal in clothing. It is amazing that a dress ensemble with this amount of detail and presence can literally feel almost weightless but it does. So romance and rare! Garment closes with wrap-around ties. This ensemble is over 90 years old and is truly stunning.
