Incredible vintage 1970s JAY MORLEY for FERN VIOLETTE cotton and silk Bohemian maxi dress! Jay Morley was the top costume designer for all the major movie studios from the 1940s-1960, and started producing clothing under his own label in the late 1960s. His pieces are very rare, and highly sought after!
This little gem features a navy, pink, white chiffon covered bodice with a fuchsia waistband. Functional gold buttons up the front, with a zipper below the waistband. Sleeves feature elastic cuffs, and can be worn up or down (as pictured). Lightweight cotton voile skirt with adorable flowers printed throughout, and stripes that mirror the bodice. Fully lined, and impeccably constructed! Perfect with flats, wedges or heels. In great condition. Made in USA.
