This rare early 1950's vintage dress came from an estate I was fortunate to handle that had the most incredible collection of mid century designer clothing. This is a Harvey Berin 50s dress designed by Karen Stark and it in excellent condition. The dress made of plum/taupe satin with black velvet trim, a back metal zipper, covered buttons, and gorgeous black lace. It is missing the original belt, which surprises me because everything this woman owned was pristine with all of the pieces in tact. I would estimate this dress to be a modern day US size 4, but please use the measurements as a guide for the best fit. For a bit of fashion trivia: Karen Stark was Harvey Berin's sister in law and the designer for his label, although he had to approve all designs. BUST: 34" WAIST: 26" HIPS: 38" LENGTH from nape of neck: 38"
