About

A luxurious royal-purple shimmer lame gown from the "Old Hollywood" era of glamour. The bodice is a low-cut slight cap-sleeve with a plunging backside. The waist is nipped with a stylized silk-velvet sash. The lower skirt is added in pointed inset seamed pieces typical of the time period and insanely hard to do on bias-cut fabric. This figure flattering garment accentuates the bust, skims the hip and flares out below the knee with beautiful back duel-trains. It is impeccably seamed and on the level of modern day couture. Here is a gown with attitude and elegant.

Measurements

This antique "Registered Designer with the Fashion Originators Guild" evening dress is in excellent wearable condition with no rips, stains or holes. After close inspection, I found some faint tarnished-lame to the skirt which is not noticeable when worn. This gown is over 80 years old and is truly spectacular.
