About

Don Loper, famously based in Hollywood, created gorgeous clothing from the 1930's into the 1960's. He designed the costumes for several films such as "The Big Combo" and "Looking for Love". In 1955 he was featured in an episode of the "I Love Lucy" show entitled – 'The Fashion Show'. Loper was known for his lavish fabrics and celebrity glamour. This stunning navy-blue pure silk two-piece ensemble is a perfect example of his genius. The jacket is a stunning button-down plunge design with 3/4-length cuffed sleeves. I love the pleated couture detail gracing the neckline and shelf-bust! The narrowing wiggle-skirt construction emphasizes a woman's seductive shape without adding any bulk or volume to the actual hips. This is the type of suit you will reach for anytime you want to look like a starlet!
