1950's JACQUES FATH for Joseph Halpert navy blue satin coat dress

About the Item

Very rare and stunning navy blue satin coat dress designed by Jacques Fath for Joseph Halpert dating to the early 1950's. Tailored through the waist with a softly structured silhouette, the dress features a wide shawl collar, covered satin buttons running down the front offset to the side, and subtle flap pockets at the hips. The satin has a rich sheen that catches the light beautifully, giving depth. The coat dress has slim sleeves with zippered wrists and a clean, a knee-length skirt that keeps the shape refined and sharp. It closes at the front underneath with hidden hooks. Best fits a size 2 or 4. Approximate measurements: shoulders 15", bust 34.5", waist 26", hips 37.5", arm length 23" and overall length 45". Zippers at wrist. Pockets at hips. Fair/good condition.
