1950s Worth Haute Couture Pink and White Tulle Dress With Organza Bud Appliqués

About the Item

This enchanting 1950s couture dress in pink and white net tulle is by the extolled French fashion house Worth and retailed at their London boutique on Grosvenor Street. The quality and workmanship in the construction of this piece is second to none, with beautifully finished seams on the interior, elegant bone structuring in the bodice and wire worked skillfully into the sweetheart neckline to maintain the shape. The dress is a classic princess cut with sheer wide set straps, a dainty waistline and a full ankle length skirt with multi layered net petticoats to excite volume. It is comprised of rose pink fabric with a white tulle overlay, adorned throughout with pink organza roses that appear as polka dots from afar. There is a concealed zip fastening at the centre reverse. This exceptional piece is in fantastic vintage condition and highly collectable. For the connoisseur, museums or serious collectors of fine haute couture. Displays beautifully and would best suit a US size 2-4, UK size 6-8.
