Beautiful chocolate brown chantilly-lace cocktail by the famous House of Maggy Rouff dating back to the mid 1950's. Harmony and simplicity were cornerstones of Maggy Rouff's belief in elegance as a way of life, and the way of fashion. A truly elegant woman was in harmony with her environment and herself, and to Rouff this meant being properly dressed for every occasion. This did not mean she was conservative; rather, she believed novelty and surprise were good for fashion. This dazzling garment is a perfect example of her ideals. The bodice is a stunning low-cut plunge sweetheart illusion with classic 3/4-length sleeves. I love the satin buttons and bow which really give the dress so much depth and texture. The hourglass nipped-waist is meet by the most flattering scalloped swing-skirt. All hand-finished and a gorgeous investment piece that will continue to increase in value.

This vintage Maggy Rouff haute-couture dress is in excellent condition with no rips, holes or missing buttons. Perfectly working duel back painted metal-zippers and inner corsetry. Only sign of age is minor wear to the inner boned slip which are not noticeable when worn. This item is over 60 years old and is truly sensational!
