1960s Edward Abbott Cream Dress with Purple and Blue Florals

About the Item

This charming dress was designed by Edward Abbott in the 1960s and was a high-end ready to wear brand which retailed in the UK and US. It is tailored from a very fine quality cream linen cloth which is printed all-over with vibrant florals and foliage in fuchsia, violet, royal blue, baby blue and green. It showcases a classic, flattering sheath silhouette with a wide neckline, nipped-in waist and relaxed pencil-shaped skirt. The dress fastens at the back of the neck with a hidden tonal zip and hook-and-eye clasp. It is fully lined throughout with cream silk for a comfortable, luxurious wear and would be a perfect choice for a summer garden party. This petite dress is in excellent vintage condition with no issues and looks barely worn.
