About

Rappi was a talented Viennese-born woman named Syd Rappaport who made a name for herself with glamorous formal wear which was much beloved by debutantes with a particular eye for unique style. This is a breathtaking 1960's sculpted tea-gown that is fashioned from couture silk & velvet. The garden of watercolor magenta roses print have a lifelike 3-dimensional quality. The boned bodice fits beautifully with thin-straps & an adorable back bow-tie. The gown follows a nipped-waist silhouette without being overtly tight or garish. I love the full bell-shaped skirt which totally channels "Old Hollywood" glamour. This garment is vibrant, extremely well-made and unforgettable.
