About

This breathtaking Carven Paris boutique evening gown, dating back to 1968, is pure designer perfection. Carven’s exquisite taste and enviable lifestyle became the background of her creations and a means of promotion. Carven firmly believed it was her calling to design the perfect clothes for every woman to match her own individual personality; to pay a compliment to her beauty, enhance her loveliest features and disguise those of which she is not so proud. She gave women the kind of clothes they want to wear, and in doing so has created a style which is entirely her own. Our Carven show-stopper has everything a woman wants. The fabric itself is a masterpiece; vibrant black, magenta-pink and turquoise light-weight woven silk. I love the low-cut plunge cummerbund sash bodice. The hourglass nipped waist peplum skirting met by the dramatic back bustle finish this garment off with a wonderful couture aesthetic. It is classic and modern, yet has its own avant-garde elements.
