About

A fearless designer, Rudi Gernreich’s body conscious garments dazzled the fashion world with originality and vision. Gernreich held a futurist view of fashion that resulted in innovations such as using plastic in clothes and removing inner construction. This stunning red and black op-art geometric patterned gown is a perfect example of his genius. The flattering bodice has a high v-neck and lean, long sleeves. I love the way the knit hugs the body in such a flattering way. The matching wide waist-belt works perfectly with the slightly pleated full maxi-skirt. This rare garment is iconic, comfortable and a fierce fashion statement.

Measurements (The knit will allow stretch so you can safely add two inches to the below measurements)
Bust:36 inches
Waist:28 inches
Hips:Free Sweep
Sleeve Length:23 inches
Total Length:58 inches

This Rudi Gernreich designer dress is in excellent condition with no rips, stains or discoloration. Perfectly working back-zipper. The only sign of age is some minor surface moth nibbles to the full skirt which do not go through the fabric. Please message for detailed pictures. This garment is over 40 years old and is truly stunning!
