About

You know a dress was good if it got pulled for Gossip Girl. I think every brand on the planet was clamoring to get a piece from their label onto that show. The twin of this particular dress was worn by Leighton Meister, playing Blair Waldorf, in Gossip Girl during Season 2 for Episode 21 for the 2008-2009 season. Then on top of that this is from the now defunct D&G label. Last and most importantly, it is just an absolutely gorgeous little dress. The fabric is a pretty silk organza that has a muted abstract floral print in a combination of pink and deep olives mixed with black. This is layered over an inner black silk interior and this gives it a real depth and unusual effect once on. The skirt is very full and flirty and has a pretty ruffled hem. The waist cinches in and is banded and the halter style bodice finishes with a ruffle neckline that is really pretty. At the back their signature big chunky zipper gives that prettiness a bit of a edgy contrast. Excellent condition.

Fully lined in a black tissue silk and closes with the zipper at the back as shown. Tagged a size 42.

Bust: to 17.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 13.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Inner hips at lining: 18.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Bodice: 13" from neck to waist
Skirt: 26" from waist to hem

Modern Sizing Equivalent: SML-MED
