1920's Goupy Haute-Couture Tangerine Silk & Metallic-Gold Lace Flapper Dress

About

Goupy Paris was one of the elite couture houses operating during the magical Art-Deco era. This breathtaking garment, all hand-stitched, is fashioned in vibrant tangerine silk-chiffon and metallic-gold lace. The garment's avant-garde unstructured style is so modern; the fine couture fabrics are a treasure trove of antique textiles. The exacting perfection of the tangerine color is beyond compare, while the gossamer delicacy of the metallic-gold spiderweb lace inserts has a magical allure. We are excited to add close detail pictures so one can appreciate the masterful achievement. The scoopneck sleeveless bodice is so flattering and effortless to wear. What a magnificent dress for a stylish woman who uses her beauty and clothing as the material from which to create a work of art. Museum quality! Measurements Bust:36 inches Hips:39 inches Total Length:42 inches This 1920's Goupy French Couture flapper dress is in excellent wearable condition with some minor wear. After close inspection we found some breaks to the metallic lace, watermarks by the waistline and mended shoulders. This rare museum quality garment is truly exquisite and an investment piece that will only increase in value.
