The fabric on this gown is a design element on its own and it is absolutely a show stopper. It is forward and brave and in your face and exactly what makes it a perfect choice for Mugler to have used. It is very light but still with enough weight that his intended drape down the front holds perfectly in place when you move. The light catches it in different ways so you shimmer and sparkle and yet it somehow does not overpower the girl wearing the dress. The cut has that nod back to the glamor days of old Hollywood that you see in all of his very best pieces. The bodice is shaped and formed to hug the bust, draping from a metal "snake" chain that suspends it from the shoulder. This same chain is used at one hip to slightly hike the fabric up to create that stunning draped affect and balance out the shoulder. The chain used for both is a deep pewter color and it moves like its alive. The skirt is supermodel long and flows to the floor and beyond in a sweep of gorgeous bias but fabric. Hidden under that front drape of fabric is a high slit so when you walk or sit you get an unexpected flash of leg. It is just stunning and one of the best gowns I have seen from him. The color is spectacular in person. Excellent condition.
Fully lined in the same fabric through the bust and the skirt is lined in red silk. The dress closes with a hidden set zipper. Both chains snap into place under folds of fabric. Inner waist stay. Hand finishes. Tagged a 40 but please check measurements
