Cardinali Trelliage Pattern Key Hole Jumpsuit with astonishing Emerald Crystals. The crystals are huge. Wild wide leg jumpsuit in a trellis pattern with really large emerald crystals framing the key hole bust. Circa 1970, this was the showroom sample. From the Archive of Marilyn Lewis, the creator of Cardinali Cardinali was founded in Los Angeles in 1970, by Marilyn Lewis, who had already found success as the founder and owner of the hot 60's LA chain "Hamburger Hamlet". Using the finest fabric and craftsmanship, Marilyn created Cardinali from her home, and found instant success. Bergorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, I. Magnin all clamored for Cardinali’s mix of 70's grooviness with couture quality materials and workmanship. The prices for the collection were as high as Galanos, from $2000, to $10,000 in todays dollars. Fans included Betsy Bloomingdale, Nancy Reagan, Dyan Cannon and Marlo Thomas Cardinali was catapulted into the spotlight when Marlo Thomas asked Marilyn Lewis if she would design the wardrobe for her TV Show "That Girl", which became a raging hit.. Cardinali’s sophistication was boomed into everyone's home, and Cardinali style became all the rage.
