Christian Lacroix Spring 2005 Runway Silk Chiffon Ruffled Strapless Dress

Feather light silk chiffon Christian Lacroix strapless silk evening gown from Spring / Summer 2005.
This strapless dress has a dramatic thigh high slit and is in an abstract geometric print with swirls of of purple, blue, green, chartreuse and black. The bodice is embellished with net, chartreuse soutache trim and black and chartreuse embroidery. The dress has layers of ruffles and the printed sheer chiffon is layered over a solid layer of chartreuse silk chiffon with a blue pleated ruffle hem. Fully lined with hidden back zipper and inside bodice zipper with hook and eye. The dress was featured in a 2005 Lacroix ad campaign and we are showing an image of the same dress on the runway.
As with many of Lacroix's pieces, the corset inspired bodice design resembles 18th century dresses worn by royalty. He always finds a way to make historical elements modern and playful. We estimate it to fit a modern day US size 4/6, please use the measurements as a guide for the best fit.
