Eloise Curtis Exotic Mod Paisley Tunic Dress and Pant Suit, 1960s

About

The colorful paisley print and metallic gold brocade trim on this two piece 1960's Eloise Curtis for Happenstance pant and tunic ensemble conjures up images of exotic worlds and lavish lifestyles. The tunic dress zips and hooks at the back with a crisscross empire waist bodice and overlapping slit at the front. The pull-on pants have an elasticized waist and a narrow cut through the hips and thighs with slight flare at the hem. The fabric feels like silk though it may be rayon or a blend and it has a similar weight to a man's silk necktie. The happy colors are a vibrant mix of orange, yellow, green, lavender and aqua with added shades of pale pink, hot pink and gold on the trim. Perfect as hostess wear for an at-home soiree though equally as fabulous for a night out. Both pieces can also be worn as separates to create additional looks. Very good vintage condition with a weakness to the dart seam at the right bust line as shown in photograph 13 which was probably caused by stress to fabric while wearing. There is also a pull in the fabric 2" above the dart which is difficult to see due to the busy print. SIZING & MEASUREMENTS The size is not marked though both pieces are small and would best fit a U.S. size 2 and possibly a 4 with attention to the following measurements. TUNIC/TOP/DRESS Bust 33" Empire Waist 27" Hips 37" Sleeve Length From Underarm to Cuff 16" Shoulder Length Taken Across Back From Sleeve Seam to Seam 14.5" Length From Shoulder to Hem 44.25" Length From Shoulder to Empire Waist 13" PANTS Waist (Taken Not Fully Stretched) 26" Hips 37" Thigh Circumference 20" Stride 12.5" Inseam 29" Length From Waist to Hem 40" Please note: By design, there is a 2" opening at a side seam from the elasticized waist down which enables the wearer to pull on the pants.
