1940's Magenta Rose-Garden Floral Print Silk Couture Draped Evening Gown

In this gorgeous 1940's custom-made couture evening gown, the detailed construction and meticulous attention to detail are comparable to what you will find in modern haute-couture. This captivating garment is fashioned from rich rose-garden floral print silk in a stunning jewel-toned magenta pink color. The bodice is an alluring low-cut plunge sleeveless with hand-stitched ruching throughout. The silhouette is unbelievable; a flattering hourglass nipped-waist met by a voluminous ballroom skirt. I love the complex side-draping which totally channels the great work of Charles James and Cristobal Balenciaga. I totally imagine this show-stopper gliding down the red carpet! Measurements Bust:34-35 inches Waist:25 inches Hips:Free Sweep Total Length:60 inches This 1940's custom-made gown is in excellent condition with no rips, stains or holes. Perfectly working back metal-zipper. Built-in petticoat skirt to keep the shape. This garment is over 60 years old and is truly exquisite.
