During the 1950's and 1960's, Pauline Trigère's name was part of the glamorous excess in Hollywood fashion. Her exquisite tailoring and feminine-fitting clothing were highly desired by the wealthy and famous. She could create dresses which fit like a glove; cut in an extremely flattering style. Trigère designs commanded some of the highest prices often because they were made with very expensive materials. This stunning ivory & orange novelty tiki-hut print satin gown is a wonderful example of her genius. The bodice is a sculpted shelf-bust with hourglass nipped-waist. I love the ruching design which is so flattering to the figure. A matching silk-velvet jacket with sparkling rhinestone-buttons brings the garment to a whole new level. I totally see this gliding down the red carpet. Measurements Dress Bust: 32 in. Waist: 25 in. Hips: 35 in. Total Length: 58 in. Jacket Bust: 34 in. Sleeve Length: 23 in. Total Length: 22 in. This vintage designer gown is in excellent condition with no rips, stains or holes. Perfectly working back metal-zipper & inner boning. This item is over 50 years old and is truly breaktaking!
