About the Item
Absolutely incredible RARE 70s MR. BLACKWELL black vintage full length dress! Nude Illusion bodice, with strategically hand-sewn sequins, to cover just the right amount. Full black jersey skirt, with nude silk mesh on bodice, hand encrusted with hundreds of black sequins. Perfect for any red carpet event, or black tie affair. Definitely a head-turner, and looks fabulous on! In great condition. Full metal zipper down the back.

Mr. Blackwell was the premiere fashion critic for the elite. He began the "Worst Dressed List" in 1960s, which followed into the Best Dressed List.Furthermore, he was the official fashion critic for the Academy Awards until his death. Hence, His own line was a very successful 40 year fashion label, that always sought for perfection. The pieces resemble haute couture workmanship.
