From the estate of a mid-century opera singer comes this New Look party dress, which looks like it might have stepped out of a Henry Clarke fashion shoot. High fashion touches like bust gathers and a deeply pleated Poiret-style lampshade peplum skirt are complemented by thoughtful details like attached tulle panniers, so no extra undergarments are required to achieve a frothy full peplum.
Sweetheart bodice party dress with short raglan sleeves and inverted gathers under bust. Full circumference lampshade-style peplum with 24 one-inch deep pleats around waist; belt loops and matching covered belt. Rear metal zipper closure with hook and eye at upper- and mid-back, plus snap at derrière. Interior hanging loops; fully lined in ivory acetate plus tulle panniers beneath peplum at each hip.
