New Look Black Heavyweight Faille Beaded Portrait Collar Coat Dress - S, 1950s
About the Item
Able to be worn as a gown or a full-length princess coat, this versatile dress is made from super-heavyweight silk faille sturdy enough to stand upright on its own. Sculpted princess seams and elbow sleeves deliver charm in buckets, while the massive portrait collar—dripping with glass beads and passementerie—may be turned upward for a dramatic Elizabethan effect.
Fit-and-flare coat dress of super-heavyweight silk faille; massive notched portrait collar with passementerie and glass bead detail is stiff enough to wear upright for Elizabethan effect. Puffed elbow-length dolman sleeves and nine full-length princess seams for dramatic skirt sweep; four covered button front closure plus heavyweight hook and eye beneath collar. Fully lined in black acetate.
