About the Item
Elegant Fortuny inspired 2 pc gown by Patricia Lester. Hand pleated and gathered silk panels are used to create this modernized version of a Fortuny Peplos.The top is a large pleated rectangle with a dipping V hem. The shoulders are adorned by silver bugle beaded "straps". The beading continue down the front and back of top. A pleated silk tubular skirt is held by an elastic waist band. These dresses,like Fortunys fit a myriad of sizes due to the width of the pleated panels. The top can also be worn as a minidress.
