A Rare 1990 Versace Atelier Egyptian One-of-a-Kind Heavily Beaded Runway Gown

Rare 1990 custom made gown designed by Gianni Versace for his Versace Atelier label. High neck sleeveless dress fashioned of rich green damask silk; adorned throughout with weighty hand beaded brass and gold tone beads with an Egyptian flair. It has been suggested by the V&A Museum that bead work is very similar to another one-of-a-kind gown made for Princess Diana circa 1991 and she is seen photographed in the dress in many of the Versace books. *** It also should be noted that this gown is an original Versace Atelier custom gown and should not be confused with the couture Versace mini dress that was on auction a while ago."""

Condition: excellent; the dress weighs approx 12-15 pounds
