SUZY PERETTE PURPLE VELVET DRESS
Suzy Perette was known for the cocktail dresses it produced during the 1950s and '60s. This example is made of lush purple velvet and features a fitted bodice with a separate front panel that stands away from, and conceals, the underlayer, which is cut straight around and has thin straps. The skirt is gathered in front and straight in the back, where there is no waistline. An attached belt in front ties into a bow. The entire dress is lined with stiffener. The original size label says 14, but it fits more like a contemporary 6.
