Two Piece Vintage Glass Beaded Removable Sleeves Flapper Dress, 1920s
About the Item
Amazing and completely convertible! This ink blue flapper dress can be worn with or without the 3/4 length sleeves. The sleeveless dress is done in a medium weight crepe fabric that is in amazing condition for its age. The hand beading is all in tact and the dress features a drop waistband, and tiered zigzag cut skirt. There are metal snaps up the side of the dress and at one shoulder that secure the closure. It is fully lined with blue silk that shows no shattering. Rare condition indeed!
The second piece to the dress is comprised of white silk and was intended to be worn underneath the dress. The sleeves are attached to the piece at the shoulders. The sleeves are in excellent condition bu the bodice shows quite a bit of discoloration and shattering to the silk. Since the damage is not visible from the outside, the dress is still very wearable with or without the sleeves.
